Louis Vuitton Pop-up Store in New York Integrates Digital Experiences

Micro LED

Recently, luxury brand Louis Vuitton opened a new pop-up store in New York. The entrance features an 18-meter curved tunnel composed of 50 flexible OLED screens, which plays makeup art videos at a rate of 24 frames per second, guiding customers to transition naturally to the product experience area. The interactive "SoHo Corner" inside the space is equipped with a Kinect motion-sensing tracking system. When a customer enters the 3-meter sensing range, the LED matrix on the wall activates a color algorithm and generates complementary color light effects based on the color of the customer's clothing, creating a dynamic photography background.

Ford's New Headquarters to Install a 19.5-meter-long Giant Screen

LED Screen

According to foreign news reports, the exhibition hall area of Ford's under-construction new headquarters building will be equipped with 10 vehicle rotating display platforms and a 19.5-meter-long Micro LED giant screen. It is learned that this screen can display high-definition details of the entire vehicle design, component structures, and even dynamic simulation scenarios, allowing the design team to complete a full-dimensional review from sketches to finished products without switching spaces. If the project is successfully completed, it will become one of the world's largest Micro LED display screens.

French Institution Achieves Breakthrough in Full-Color Micro LED Research

Micro LED

On September 17, a research center under the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) announced that it had achieved a breakthrough in Micro LED technology, realizing stable red, green, and blue light colors in a single material system for the first time. This is expected to promote the development of full-color micro-display technology for AR/VR.Researchers stated that this latest research technology has solved one of the most intractable problems in the miniaturization of displays, opening up a new path for the manufacture of high-brightness and high-resolution full-color Micro LED micro-displays, which is crucial for the development of next-generation AR/VR headsets and smart glasses.

Xiaomi's New Mobile Phone Screen Adopts "Super Pixel" Technology

3D Large Screen

On September 23, Xiaomi officially announced that its new flagship model, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, will be equipped with the world's first "Super Pixel" screen that breaks through the technical bottleneck of small-sized OLED.It is understood that traditional OLED screens are limited by pixel arrangement technology, and the number of sub-pixels is directly linked to resolution, making it difficult to achieve both high resolution and low power consumption. The so-called Super Pixel means that each pixel has independent red, green, and blue sub-pixels. Compared with traditional OLED, it does not need to borrow adjacent sub-pixels all the time. On the surface, the screen resolution is not as high as 2K, but the number of sub-pixels reaches 9.38 million, which is at the same level as 2K.

Microsoft Announces New Progress in Micro LED

LED Screen

Recently, the research team of Microsoft launched the MOSAIC optical interconnection solution, which adopts a Wide and Slow (WaS) architecture and subverts the traditional narrow and fast communication mode. This design directly modulates Micro LED and combines it with multi-core imaging optical fibers, replacing complex and power-consuming electronic components with a low-power analog backend. It relies on multi-core imaging optical fibers to achieve high-density transmission. It is learned that a single optical fiber can integrate thousands of cores, and each core transmits an optical signal independently. This provides a new possibility for solving the interconnection bottleneck of AI data centers (electromagnetic interference and density bottlenecks of traditional copper cables).
